Congresswoman Hillary Scholten, who represents Michigan’s 3rd district in the U.S. Congress, recently posted a series of updates on her official social media account regarding legislative developments, community events, and local infrastructure projects.

On August 24, Scholten shared a resource for constituents to learn more about a bill she is involved with, stating: "Read more about the original bill here. https://t.co/oArlENC05N".

The following day, on August 25, Scholten announced an upcoming partnership event with the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), writing: "This Tuesday, August 26th, I’m partnering with @USDA to host a webinar on affordable, healthy grocery shopping using the 'Shop Simple' feature of their Healthy Plate website. To register, visit https://t.co/VgorCeCJR1, and for more information on how to 'Shop Simple,' visit https://t.co/UpENptfHEF".

Later that same day, Scholten provided an update regarding dredging operations at Grand Haven Harbor: "For months, dredging in the Grand Haven Harbor has been delayed from moving forward — potentially holding up supply chains and jacking up costs for consumers. After tireless advocacy from Team Scholten and our state and local partners, we’re finally able to say DREDGE, BABY,".

Hillary Scholten has served as the representative for Michigan’s 3rd District since 2023 after succeeding Peter Meijer. She was born in Grand Rapids in 1982 and continues to reside there. Scholten holds a BA from Gordon College (2004) and earned her JD from the University of Maryland, Baltimore in 2011.
