Congresswoman Hillary Scholten, who represents Michigan’s 3rd district in the U.S. Congress, shared updates on her recent activities through several posts on social media.

On August 20, 2025, Scholten highlighted her engagement with local library leaders, writing: "It was an honor to host leaders from the Kent District Library Talking Book & Braille Center in Washington last month to accept the 2025 Subregional Library/Advisory and Outreach Center of the Year Award. I loved touring their headquarters back home in West Michigan this week."

The following day, on August 21, 2025, Scholten commented on her ongoing efforts to connect with constituents: "Thank you, Wyoming! Another great town hall in the books as part of my Scholten Summer Town Hall Series. There’s nothing better than hearing directly from you." Later that day, she posted a brief message encouraging further reading: "Read more below."

Scholten has represented Michigan's 3rd District since replacing Peter Meijer in 2023. Born in Grand Rapids in 1982 and currently residing there, she is a graduate of Gordon College and holds a law degree from the University of Maryland, Baltimore.
