Congresswoman Hillary Scholten, who represents Michigan’s 3rd district in the U.S. Congress, recently shared updates on her official X account regarding her work and initiatives.

On July 27, Scholten expressed appreciation for her team of interns in Washington D.C., stating, "Thanks so much to yet another incredible cohort of Team Scholten D.C. interns on working hard every day for YOU, West Michigan!"

The following day, she addressed the recognition of women in history by advocating for support of a national museum. On July 28, she wrote, "Women deserve for their place in history to be recognized. That’s why I’m standing with a bipartisan group of legislators to call for full funding of the Smithsonian Women’s History Museum. Read more here."

Later that same day, Scholten discussed recent developments related to the Epstein files and legislative efforts concerning their public release. She posted on July 28: "ICYMI: This week on Straight Talk With Scholten, I went over what we know about the Epstein files, and broke down what Republicans are doing to try to prevent their release to the public. Watch more here."

Hillary Scholten has represented Michigan's 3rd District since 2023 after succeeding Peter Meijer. Born in Grand Rapids in 1982 and currently residing there, Scholten holds a BA from Gordon College (2004) and a JD from the University of Maryland, Baltimore (2011).
