Congresswoman Hillary Scholten, who represents Michigan’s 3rd district in the U.S. Congress, posted a series of updates on her official X account this week.
On July 16, Scholten signaled participation in an event with a brief message: "It’s game time! https://t.co/0hnGlGu1bM".
The following day, she announced an upcoming community engagement: "The next town hall in my Summer Town Hall Series is in Rockford on July 25th! For more info and to RSVP, visit https://t.co/ZdyhMBvKM2. https://t.co/MJVe5oKjXO" (July 17).
Later that same day, Scholten addressed national concerns regarding transparency and oversight: "As concerns continue to rise about President Trump and House Republicans covering up the Epstein files, it's more important than ever that we have independent investigators looking out for the American people.
That’s exactly what my bill, the Integrity in Government Act, will" (July 17).
Scholten has represented Michigan's 3rd District since 2023 after succeeding Peter Meijer. She was born in Grand Rapids in 1982 and continues to reside there. Scholten holds a BA from Gordon College and a JD from the University of Maryland, Baltimore.
