In a post published at 00:32 UTC, Scholten expressed support for immigration reform, stating, "We can have a safe and secure border without sacrificing our values. That’s why I’m a proud cosponsor of the bipartisan, comprehensive Dignity Act that would provide legal status and protections for undocumented immigrants; fund and reform CBP; and update our asylum and visa".
Later that day, at 14:58 UTC, she commented on actions taken by her Republican colleagues regarding documents related to Jeffrey Epstein. She wrote, "My Republican colleagues voted to keep the truth of the Epstein files hidden. I have one question: what are they hiding?"

Hillary Scholten has served as the representative for Michigan's 3rd District since replacing Peter Meijer in 2023. Born in Grand Rapids in 1982, she continues to reside there. Scholten holds a BA from Gordon College (2004) and earned her JD from the University of Maryland, Baltimore in 2011.
