Congresswoman Hillary Scholten, representing Michigan’s 3rd district since 2023, has taken to social media to share her recent activities and thoughts on a variety of issues. Her communications cover mental health support for aviation workers, commemorating historical events, and environmental concerns.

On June 6, 2025, Scholten emphasized the importance of mental health support for pilots and aviation officials. She stated, "Pilots and aviation officials deserve mental health support just as much as any other worker." She also mentioned her meeting with constituents from ALPA Pilots to discuss this issue further.

Later that day, she paid tribute to the heroes of D-Day with a message honoring their sacrifice. Scholten remarked, "Today, we honor the heroes who stormed the beaches of Normandy and changed the course of history." This reflection serves as a reminder of the significant cost associated with freedom.

In another post on June 6th, Scholten highlighted an environmental issue involving invasive species in the Great Lakes. After encountering a sea lamprey firsthand, she expressed concern about their impact on the ecosystem: "INVASIVE SPECIES WARNING! I got a chance to see a sea lamprey up close and personal this week… closer than I’d like to be again anytime soon… I mean, take a look at those teeth!"

Hillary Scholten was born in Grand Rapids, Michigan in 1982. A graduate from Gordon College with a BA in 2004 and holding a JD from the University of Maryland since 2011, she currently resides in Grand Rapids.
