Hillary Scholten shares updates on support for President Biden and local initiatives

Congresswoman Hillary Scholten, representing Michigan's 3rd district since 2023, recently shared several updates on social media regarding current events and initiatives. Scholten, who succeeded Peter Meijer in Congress, was born in Grand Rapids, Michigan in 1982 and currently resides there. She holds a BA from Gordon College and a JD from the University of Maryland.

On May 19, 2025, Scholten expressed her support for President Biden during a challenging period for his family. In her tweet she stated: "My family is praying for President Biden and the entire Biden family during this difficult time. I'm sure he and Dr. Biden will meet the moment with strength and resolve as they have done for decades. May your recovery be quick and full, @JoeBiden."

Later that day, Scholten highlighted the importance of supporting healthcare institutions by attending an event organized by Corewell Health. She tweeted: "Now more than ever, we need to support our health care institutions. I was honored to attend @CorewellHealth's gala this weekend and celebrate the great work Corewell does for our community."

Additionally, Scholten announced an upcoming virtual town hall aimed at small business owners in Michigan's 3rd district. On May 19th she wrote: "Calling all MI-03 small business owners and entrepreneurs: I’m excited to announce a virtual town hall happening THIS WEEK focused on small businesses, tariffs, the economy, and more.
