Congresswoman Hillary Scholten, representing Michigan’s 3rd district since 2023, has recently addressed various issues on her social media platform. Her recent tweets highlight her commitment to aviation safety and awareness for Huntington's Disease.

On May 17, 2025, Congresswoman Scholten shared a tweet stating, "You won’t want to miss it." The context of this statement was not elaborated upon in the post.

Later that day, she emphasized the importance of modernizing aviation infrastructure for passenger safety. In a tweet from May 17, 2025, she stated: "In order to ensure the highest level of safety for airline passengers, we must ensure our aviation infrastructure is up-to-date. At this week’s @TransportDems hearing, I continued to beat the drum for the need to replace @FlyGRFord’s outdated air traffic control tower."

The following day, May 18, 2025, Scholten acknowledged Huntington's Disease Awareness Month by honoring affected families on the House floor. She tweeted: "During Huntington’s Disease Awareness Month, I took to the House floor to recognize and honor the courage and strength of families across the nation who face lifelong hardships due to Huntington’s — including one of my own constituents, Rachel Reising, and her family."

Hillary Scholten was born in Grand Rapids in 1982 and currently resides there. She replaced Peter Meijer in Congress in 2023 after graduating from Gordon College and earning a JD from the University of Maryland.
