Congresswoman Hillary Scholten, currently representing Michigan's 3rd district in the U.S. Congress, has been proactive in addressing various issues as depicted through her recent tweets. Scholten has demonstrated engagement in maternal health, criticized actions at the highest levels of government, and supported women entrepreneurs.

On April 16, 2025, Scholten tweeted in recognition of Black Maternal Health Week. She highlighted a partnership involving the Congressional Mamas’ Caucus, MomsRising’s @momjustice, and The Ariah Foundation. This collaboration was to support a commemorative art project that pays tribute to women of color who have died due to maternal health complications.

Later in the day, Scholten expressed concern over presidential conduct. On April 16, 2025, she tweeted about what she considered a serious transgression. As an attorney and legislator, she conveyed alarm at "the President of the United States openly defying the Supreme Court," deeming the behavior "reckless" and "lawless."

On the same day, she also took time to focus on women's entrepreneurship. Scholten tweeted about her interactions with female small business owners, acknowledging their achievements. She mentioned collaboration with 8THIRTYFOUR Integrated Communications and local businesses to continue supporting small enterprises and empowering women in business.

Hillary Scholten, born in Grand Rapids, Michigan in 1982, has represented Michigan’s 3rd district since taking over from Peter Meijer in 2023. She has a BA from Gordon College and a JD from the University of Maryland, Baltimore.
