Congresswoman Hillary Scholten, representing Michigan's 3rd district, has recently shared a series of tweets addressing various topics. Scholten, who succeeded Peter Meijer in 2023, uses her platform to highlight significant issues and events.

On March 21, 2025, Scholten announced the acquisition of a federal grant for biomedical research. She stated: "I’m proud to announce $767,324 in a federal grant I helped secure for @VAInstitute — a leader in cutting-edge biomedical research. At a time when crucial medical research funding is being called into question, I’m proud to reaffirm my support for institutions on the frontlines of".

In another tweet on the same day, she commemorated an important historical event. Scholten wrote: "On this day in 1965, the Civil Rights March from Selma to Montgomery began, with around 3,200 brave marchers beginning the journey. Walking 12 miles a day and sleeping outside at night, their determination and bravery were key in shifting our nation’s history for the better."

The following day on March 22, 2025, Scholten expressed enthusiasm about an upcoming event at John Ball Zoo in Grand Rapids: "Looking forward to another zoo-pendous season at @JBZOOGR! "
