Congresswoman Hillary Scholten, representing Michigan's 3rd district since 2023, recently shared a series of tweets addressing political dynamics and local engagements. Born in Grand Rapids, Michigan, Scholten has been active in U.S. Congress following her education at Gordon College and the University of Maryland.

On March 13, 2025, Scholten commented on the current political situation with Republicans holding control over major government branches. She stated: "Republicans: We have a mandate! Americans gave us control of the House, Senate, and the White House! Also Republicans: The Democrats are shutting down the government. Make it make sense."

Later that day, she expressed her condolences over the passing of a fellow congressman: "I'm heartbroken to hear of the passing of Rep. Raúl Grijalva, a dedicated public servant and a compassionate leader who fought to protect our environment and ensure access to quality, affordable health care. My thoughts are with his family, friends, and the people of AZ-07."

On March 14, 2025, Scholten addressed her constituents in West Michigan regarding upcoming town halls: "West Michigan, I hear you. We’ve had so many folks reach out with interest in our Grand Rapids town hall that we added another on the Lakeshore the next day. We want to make sure we can hear from ALL of you."
