Hillary Scholten, a U.S. Congresswoman representing Michigan's 3rd district since 2023, recently shared her perspectives on several key issues through a series of tweets. Scholten, who succeeded Peter Meijer in the role, addressed concerns ranging from legislative spending to economic impacts on women.

On March 11, 2025, Scholten commented on a significant spending bill that had been voted on in the House. She highlighted the potential negative consequences if it were to pass the Senate and be enacted into law. In her tweet, she stated: "There’s a big spending bill we just voted on in the House... And let’s talk about why it would be deeply problematic for Americans from all walks of life if it passes the Senate and is signed into law."

The following day, March 12, 2025, Scholten focused on women's economic issues in another post. She criticized actions by former President Trump and Elon Musk that she claims have increased living costs for American families. Her message read: "Women’s issues ARE economic issues...
