Congresswoman Hillary Scholten, representing Michigan's 3rd district, has been vocal on various issues through her recent social media posts. Her tweets address transparency in government, community events for Black History Month, and concerns about environmental policies.

On February 11, 2025, Congresswoman Scholten expressed her disapproval of actions taken by Donald Trump and Elon Musk regarding the DOGE project. She stated: "Less than a week after introducing my CLEAR Act to ensure all government agencies are subject to full transparency, Trump and Musk have taken steps to completely shield their work at DOGE from the American public. I won’t stand for it."

In another tweet on the same day, Scholten encouraged West Michigan residents to partake in Black History Month activities hosted by the Grand Rapids Public Library. She tweeted: "West Michigan, you can celebrate Black History Month with performances and story times at @grpl — there are events for folks of all ages! Read more here."

Later that day, she raised concerns about clean water access being affected by political decisions. Scholten criticized current governmental policies stating: "Access to clean water is about as nonpartisan an issue as it gets. That's why I'm deeply concerned with the harm that our current President—and his @HouseGOP allies—are imposing on our clean water future in the name of political gain and deregulation."
