On February 5, 2025, Congresswoman Scholten reflected on her experience with the Special Olympics Michigan. She expressed joy at participating in the opening of their new facility in MI-03 back in October and noted her pleasure in reconnecting with athletes and faculty during a visit to Washington D.C. "I had such a blast with @SpOlympicsMI back in October to open their new facility in MI-03, and it was amazing to catch up with some of the athletes and faculty today here in DC!"

In another tweet from February 5, 2025, Scholten discussed the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), which was passed on this day in 1993. She emphasized the ongoing need for paid family and medical leave for all workers. Scholten highlighted her role as a cosponsor of the FAMILY Act during the last Congress and reiterated her commitment to advocating for support systems that allow working Americans to care for themselves and their families. She celebrated female athletes across generations while affirming her dedication to ensuring equal opportunities within sports arenas.
