Hillary Scholten, a U.S. Congresswoman representing Michigan’s 3rd district since 2023, has recently addressed several issues through her social media posts. On February 4, 2025, Scholten voiced concerns and called for action on matters ranging from government transparency to data privacy and cancer research.

In one of her tweets dated February 4, 2025, Scholten stated: "I joined my @HSBCDems colleagues urging @SBAgov to clarify the situation and provide answers to the American people. If there’s nothing to hide, these answers should be easy." She emphasized the importance of protecting American entrepreneurs by prioritizing transparency as a fundamental step.

On the same day, Scholten expressed apprehension about potential data privacy issues in another tweet: "I'm gravely concerned over an unelected, big businessman and his 'department' accessing highly sensitive data, including that of small business owners who may have economic interests at odds with his own." This post highlighted her concerns regarding access to sensitive information by individuals or entities outside governmental oversight.

Additionally, Scholten took the opportunity to address health-related matters in observance of World Cancer Day. In her tweet posted later that day she mentioned: "No one is left untouched by cancer. As the home to Medical Mile, West Michiganders are working to improve cancer outcomes and research the tools to help cure this disease every day." Here she acknowledged ongoing efforts within her community towards advancing cancer research and improving patient outcomes.
