On January 28, 2025, Congresswoman Scholten expressed criticism regarding certain actions in government. She stated, "This type of action comes from a place of not knowing what's broken and how to fix it—of chaos and incompetence. It makes America weaker and poorer, not stronger and richer."

Later the same day, Scholten shared her sentiments about Senator Gary Peters' service to Michigan. She remarked on his impending departure as an "immense loss" for the state. In her tweet at 16:41:09 UTC, she wrote, "Wow, what a surprise and an immense loss for Michigan! We are not even close to saying goodbye yet, but I'll take every opportunity I can to say THANK YOU @SenGaryPeters for your lifetime of service to Michigan. You are a true Lion."

She expressed gratitude for his support in passing legislation that renamed the Comstock Park Post Office after Captain Miguel Nava. Scholten noted her anticipation of further work with him in the coming years by stating, "In my first term, I was grateful for his partnership in getting my bill to rename the Comstock Park Post Office after Captain Miguel Nava signed into law. I look forward to more work for our state and our neighbors in the next two years!"
