Congresswoman Hillary Scholten, representing Michigan's 3rd district since 2023, recently shared her views on various issues through a series of tweets. Born in Grand Rapids, Michigan, Scholten has been an active voice in Congress and currently serves as the Vice Chair of the Democratic Women's Caucus.

On January 22, 2025, Scholten marked what would have been the 52nd anniversary of Roe v. Wade by highlighting the consequences of its overturning. She stated that "Residents in over 1/3 of U.S. counties have little or no access to maternity care" and that "Maternal mortality is increasing, especially for BIPOC women." She emphasized that "American women deserve their reproductive rights back."

Later that day, Scholten expressed her commitment to women's rights as she announced her role as Vice Chair of the Democratic Women's Caucus in the 119th Congress. She wrote, "I’m honored to serve...women across the country deserve leaders willing to fight for their rights." She conveyed excitement about working with her colleagues at DWC.

On January 23, 2025, Scholten addressed gun violence during National Gun Violence Survivors Week. She tweeted that "Our children deserve to grow up without fear of being killed by gun violence," while honoring survivors and advocating for a future free from such violence.
