On December 13, 2024, Congresswoman Scholten tweeted about hosting interviews for prospective applicants to the nation's service academies. She expressed admiration for the students involved, stating: "Team Scholten hosted our interviews for prospective applicants to our nation’s prestigious service academies today, and WOW, these students are impressive! I know we'll have a tough time selecting finalists – we have so many future leaders to be proud of here in MI-03."
The following day, December 14, she participated in a local charity event aimed at supporting community members during the cold season. In her tweet about the event, she said: "With many cold, wintry weeks ahead of us, it was so meaningful to participate in the @Mix957GR Warm Hearts Coat Drive in Wyoming today.
