Congresswoman Hillary Scholten, representing Michigan's 3rd district since 2023, recently shared updates on her activities via social media. These updates highlight her engagement with the community and commitment to various local initiatives.

On December 13, 2024, Congresswoman Scholten tweeted about hosting interviews for prospective applicants to the nation's service academies. She expressed admiration for the students involved, stating: "Team Scholten hosted our interviews for prospective applicants to our nation’s prestigious service academies today, and WOW, these students are impressive! I know we'll have a tough time selecting finalists – we have so many future leaders to be proud of here in MI-03."

The following day, December 14, she participated in a local charity event aimed at supporting community members during the cold season. In her tweet about the event, she said: "With many cold, wintry weeks ahead of us, it was so meaningful to participate in the @Mix957GR Warm Hearts Coat Drive in Wyoming today. Let’s continue supporting our neighbors however we can, West Michigan. Our warmth is what makes our community so special."

Later that same day, Scholten emphasized the importance of accessible and affordable housing for everyone. She acknowledged the efforts of Academy Manor and the Dominican Sisters of Grand Rapids by tweeting: "Accessible, affordable housing should include EVERYONE. Thank you to Academy Manor and the Dominican Sisters of Grand Rapids for hosting me and being such incredible partners in the work to help our seniors thrive in their golden years."
