Hillary Scholten, currently serving in the U.S. Congress and representing Michigan's 3rd district since 2023, recently shared insights on her legislative focus via social media posts. The Congresswoman, who replaced Peter Meijer in 2023, emphasizes a family-friendly economy, environmental preservation, and healthcare collaboration.

On December 6, 2024, Scholten highlighted her commitment to supporting families in her district. She stated, "As the first mom to represent MI-03 in Congress, a family-friendly economy is at the top of my mind. I was pleased to host members of Campaign for a Family Friendly Economy to collaborate on ways we can continue helping families thrive – not just get by."

In another post on the same day, Scholten addressed environmental issues affecting West Michigan. She remarked that "West Michigan’s natural resources need to be protected, and I’m working hard every day in Congress to preserve our environment and fight climate change." She also mentioned productive discussions with @MichiganLCV and @actonclimateUS aimed at advancing towards a more sustainable future.

Later that day, Scholten expressed appreciation for healthcare workers in her district. She wrote about meeting with the Michigan Primary Care Association members who are dedicated to community health services: "It was great to meet with members of the Michigan Primary Care Association who work tirelessly with community and Native American health centers to provide crucial health care for West Michiganders."
