Hillary Scholten, a U.S. Congresswoman representing Michigan's 3rd district since 2023, shared her views on various matters through a series of tweets on November 19, 2024. The tweets covered topics from political leadership nominations to commemorating tragic events and supporting veterans.

On November 19, 2024, Congresswoman Scholten expressed her support for Representative Jeffries as the Democratic Leader of the House Democrats. She stated, "@RepJeffries will be just that: an EXTRAORDINARY leader for @HouseDemocrats." She also noted the honor of nominating him and expressed confidence in overcoming future challenges with his leadership.

In another tweet on the same day, Scholten remembered the victims of a mass shooting at Club Q in Colorado Springs two years prior. She wrote, "Two years ago today, we lost 5 innocent lives during a hate-fueled mass shooting at Club Q in Colorado Springs." Scholten emphasized that "hate has no place in our society" and extended prayers to the families affected by the tragedy.

Later that day, Scholten announced her support for legislation aiding American servicemembers and veterans. In her tweet, she stated, "American servicemembers and veterans deserve our support." She mentioned voting in favor of H.R.8371—a bipartisan bill introduced by Rep. Mark Takano—intended to provide resources and funding for veterans and military families.
