WASHINGTON, DC—This week, U.S. Congresswoman Hillary Scholten (MI-03) introduced a resolution to commemorate May 24th as the National Aviation Maintenance Technician (AMT) Day and recognize essential airport workers.

These professionals ensure that travelers in West Michigan, across the country, and across the world remain safely on the move as they inspect, troubleshoot and repair commercial and military aircrafts.

“I’m a member of the Transportation and Infrastructure Committee, and I represent Gerald R. Ford International Airport, one of the fastest-growing airports in the country,” said Congresswoman Hillary Scholten. “It’s so important to recognize our essential airport workers across the country—that’s why I am taking this step to honor aviation maintenance technicians today.”

The full resolution can be found here.
