Algoma Township issued the following announcement on Feb 18.
Our 74th District State Representative seat is vacant due to last November's Election to fill the vacant Senate seat.
Don't forget to vote on March 1st, 2022 in the Special Primary! Just like any other primary election you must 'stay in your lane', meaning choose a candidate from one party or the other, not both.
We are in effect 'nominating' candidates that will run against each other in the Special General Election to be held on May 3, 2022.
See you at the polls! They open at 7am and close at 8pm.
