Kent County Search & Rescue Team

Volunteer

Kent County Sheriff's Office issued the following announcement on Feb 7.

Did you know Kent County has its own Search & Rescue team?  Kent County SAR is a volunteer team of people right here from our own Kent County.  When police & fire cannot find you, they call KCSAR.  This team is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.  They are 100% volunteers who step forward to help search for missing people in Kent County as well as other parts of Michigan.

Recently, two long standing volunteers retired from the team after a combined 27 years of service.  Thank you to Kim Karr and Dan Smith for your many hours volunteered to the safety of our community!
