City of Kentwood recently issued the following announcement.
The City of Kentwood will host a no-cost COVID-19 vaccine clinic for adults and children Thursday, Dec. 9 at the Kent District Library – Kentwood (Richard L. Root) Branch, 4950 Breton Ave. SE.
The clinic – sponsored by the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services – will offer COVID-19 vaccines, including booster shots, from 2-6 p.m. in the library’s Community Room. The clinic will be open to all community members and no appointment will be necessary.
The Pfizer, Moderna and Johnson & Johnson vaccines will be available to adults for first, second and third doses as well as boosters. The Pfizer vaccine will be available for children ages 5-11. Vaccine and booster eligibility is determined by the current CDC guidelines.
For information about COVID-19, community members may visit michigan.gov/coronavirus or call the COVID-19 Hotline at 888.535.6136 and press 1. The hotline is available 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday-Friday and 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
