City of Grand Rapids issued the following announcement on May 13.
Attention, business owners and staff: As you prepare to reopen your business, our Water System team is encouraging you to flush your water service line. Moving fresh water through water pipes is important. It helps to flush out older stagnant water that may contain sediments, re-establishes the chlorine residual to control harmful bacteria and reduces the risk of lead and copper exposure.
