CITY OF GRANDVILLE: Grandville Historical Commission Has Been Named A Finalist In Grant Contest For $2500 Grant

City of Grandville issued the following announcement on Jan. 13.

We need your help!

The Grandville Historical Commission has been named a finalist in a grant contest for a $2500 grant from Michigan Digital Newspapers at Clarke Historical Library to have our local historic newspaper, the Grandville Star (1916-1933), digitized as part of the Michigan Historical Newspapers site. It is now only available on microfilm. The contest is two parts to earn the most votes/points:

(1) Week of January 13-19 mail a postcard with a Michigan scene or drawing to the address below. The postcard (10 points) must be hand addressed and postmarked between Jan 14-19.

There are many very scenic pictures of Michigan that can be printed on a 3X5 or 4X6 index card or photo paper.
