City of Grandville issued the following announcement on Nov. 14.
At 12:04 am on November 7, 2019, Grandville PD arrested two subjects in a stolen vehicle near Lee and Dixie. This area had been experiencing several larcenies from unlocked vehicles and unlocked garages. Stolen property was located in the stolen vehicle. At least six incidents were attributed to the defendants, including another stolen vehicle (also recovered).
The defendants, Max William Coleman and Mahrquaile Wainail-Deprix Taylor are both 19-year-old Wyoming residents. They were each charged with:
• Stolen property - receiving & concealing - motor vehicle (5-year felony)
• Stolen property - receiving & concealing - $1,000 or more, less than $20,000 (5-year felony)
• Financial transaction device – stealing/retaining without consent (4-year felony)
Mr. Coleman was also charged with police officer – resist/obstruct (2-year felony)
Both defendants were arraigned in the 59th District Court on 11/08/19.
