Hillary Scholten addresses energy policy changes and healthcare innovation in Michigan

Congresswoman Hillary Scholten, who represents Michigan’s 3rd district in the U.S. Congress, has recently posted a series of statements on social media addressing energy policy and healthcare innovation.

On August 21, 2025, Scholten commented on the Solar for All program, writing: "The Solar for All program is an all-of-the-above approach to tackling energy costs and moving toward a greener economy. The program would have helped over 16,000 Michiganders cut their energy bills by an estimated 20% — that’s money in pockets. However, Trump’s @EPA gutted the https://t.co/gav9AumNOB".

The following day, on August 22, she continued her critique of recent federal energy decisions with another post: "We need long-term, sustainable energy solutions. Not chaotic 90-day orders based on political whims. https://t.co/ZwnqlKjrh2".

On August 23, Scholten shifted focus to healthcare innovation in Michigan: ".@CorewellHealth is leading the charge for innovation and excellence in the world of cancer diagnosis and treatment. I toured Corewell Health Oncology Lemmen-Holton Cancer Pavilion, where I spoke with leaders about how I can continue supporting their important work to provide https://t.co/nil13AB4MS".

Scholten has served as a member of Congress since 2023 after replacing Peter Meijer. She was born in Grand Rapids in 1982 and continues to reside there. Scholten holds a BA from Gordon College (2004) and a JD from the University of Maryland, Baltimore (2011).
