City of East Grand Rapids issued the following announcement on Oct. 12.
If you've completed your absentee ballot, please return it to city hall as soon as possible. You can drop it off at our front desk during business hours, or use our 24-hour drop box just inside the front door. If you are mailing your ballot, please allow 7-10 days for it to reach us -- just to be safe.
Returning your ballot early helps staff make sure that everything on the outside of the envelope is correct and to get the ballots organized and ready to be opened on election day.
If you haven't made up your mind yet, you have until 8 pm on election night to turn in your ballot.
