City of Grand Rapids issued the following announcement on Jan. 7.
Heads-up if you’re traveling Eastern Avenue SE this week: Southbound Eastern between Logan and Baxter closes around 9 a.m. Tuesday for utility work. It’s expected to reopen late Friday afternoon. The detour is Wealthy to Madison to Franklin.
