The community is encouraged to attend one of the four meetings to learn:

- How to submit an idea for consideration
- Understand the process if the submitted idea is approved
The community meetings will be held in preparation of the open call for NMF project ideas – set for Dec. 1-31. During December, residents, informal groups and community-based organizations may apply HERE.
“It is important for project leaders to think ahead and attend one of these meetings to meet the new NMF project submission biannual deadlines,” said Stacy Stout, assistant to the city manager. “NMF project idea submissions now are accepted only twice a year – In December for projects that take place March through August and in June for projects that take place September through February.”
The NMF provides contracts up to $2,500 for collaborative and diverse resident-led community projects that increase the overall quality of life in neighborhoods. Approved projects need to take place between March 1 and August 31, 2020.
Since its initial grant in May 2017, the NMF has provided funding totaling $176,877 to individuals and groups that have initiated 86 projects that have enhanced neighborhood quality of life across the city.
