Congresswoman Hillary Scholten, who represents Michigan’s 3rd district in the U.S. Congress, has recently highlighted a range of local and national issues through her social media posts.

On August 23, 2025, Scholten wrote about her experience meeting participants in a disability advocacy event: "I was so inspired to meet leaders and finalists of Ms. Wheelchair America in West Michigan! On August 24, Scholten referenced voting rights legislation: "It’s been 4 years since the House passed the John R. Scholten has represented Michigan’s 3rd district since replacing Peter Meijer in 2023. She was born in Grand Rapids in 1982 and continues to reside there. Her academic background includes an undergraduate degree from Gordon College (2004) and a law degree from the University of Maryland, Baltimore (2011).
