Congresswoman Hillary Scholten, representing Michigan’s 3rd district since 2023, has recently shared a series of tweets on various topics of interest to her constituents. Her communications highlight environmental protection efforts, acknowledge the contributions of fellow lawmakers, and express personal commitments to honoring military service members.

On December 11, 2024, Scholten expressed her support for new regulations introduced by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). She stated: "Thanks to @EPA, extremely toxic, carcinogenic chemicals are being phased out of cleaning products. I applaud this new rule, which will protect West Michiganders' health."

Later that day, she reflected on the departure of a colleague from the Michigan delegation. In her tweet posted at 16:20 UTC, Scholten remarked: "The Michigan delegation just won’t be the same without you, @RepDanKildee. Your leadership and advocacy for Michiganders have changed our state for the better. Wishing you nothing but the best in your next chapter!"

In another tweet posted at 21:13 UTC on December 11th, Scholten mentioned her visit to a White House holiday event and her legislative intentions concerning a local post office. She wrote: "I was thinking of Captain Nava’s family as I stopped by the Gold Star Family Tree at the @WhiteHouse Holiday Party. I'm determined to pass my bill to rename the Comstock Park Post Office in Capt. Nava's honor and solidify his legacy for the Nava family and our entire community."
