On November 20, 2024, Congresswoman Scholten extended birthday wishes to the President of the United States. She expressed gratitude in her message: "Happy Birthday, @POTUS! I’m so grateful for all you do!"

Later that day, she marked Transgender Day of Remembrance with a solemn acknowledgment of those who have lost their lives to anti-transgender violence.
