Big Rapids, Mich. - Ferris State University's men's golf team has seen two of its players honored on the 2024 Division II PING All-America Team. Caleb Bond, a sophomore from Williamston, received Third Team recognition, while Nathan Kraynyk, a junior from Buffalo Point, Manitoba, earned an honorable mention.

These accolades were announced by the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA). The All-America selections include nine golfers on the first team and eight each on the second and third teams, with 24 receiving honorable mentions. Bond and Kraynyk are among three golfers from GLIAC institutions to be named in these listings.

Earlier this year, Bond was recognized as part of the All-GLIAC First Team and included in the 2024 NCAA Division II PING All-Midwest Region Team. Kraynyk had previously been selected for the all-conference second team.

Under head coach Sam Stark, Ferris State finished ninth at the 2024 NCAA Division II National Championships held in Winter Garden, Florida. Individually, Kraynyk tied for second place overall with a score of 206 at the national championships. He shot rounds of 70, 69, and 67. Bond finished tied for 37th with a total score of 216.

The Bulldogs secured their spot in the national championships after finishing fifth at the NCAA D2 Midwest/Central Super Regional Championships on May 11 in Edmond, Oklahoma. This year's appearance marked Ferris State's 17th participation in program history and their first since 2019.

Ferris State's ninth-place finish is its best since achieving runner-up status at the 2017 NCAA-II Midwest/Central Super Regional in Kearney, Nebraska. The program has been represented in the NCAA Tournament for 19 out of the last 21 years when held.

Additionally, Ferris State claimed its 22nd GLIAC Championship title by defeating Grand Valley State on April 14 in Augusta, Michigan.
