The Ferris State University men's golf team is set to compete in the 2024 Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) Championships from April 12 to 14. The event will take place in Augusta, Michigan, at the Gull Lake View Golf Club and Resort near Battle Creek.

The championship follows a format introduced four years ago. Each participating school will play 36 holes of stroke play over two days, with one round on Friday and another on Saturday. For each team, the lowest four out of five scores will contribute to their overall score.

After the second round, the top four teams will proceed to head-to-head medal play on Sunday using a bracket system similar to that used in NCAA Championships. The winners of the semifinal rounds will face off in the finals to determine the GLIAC Champion.

Gull Lake View Golf Club & Resort is noted for being one of the largest golf resorts globally, featuring six championship courses where golfers can enjoy a unique course every day for six days straight.

The competition begins Friday at Stoatin Brae Golf Club course, which has a par of 71 and measures 6,742 yards. Ferris State University's men's golf team has an impressive history in this tournament, having won 21 GLIAC Men's Golf Championships. They secured back-to-back titles in medal match play in 2019 and 2021 (with no tournament held in 2020) and finished as runners-up in 2022. Last year marked their fourth consecutive appearance in the semifinals.
