Ferris State University's women's soccer team is set to face Saginaw Valley State University (SVSU) in the opening round of the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) Tournament. The Bulldogs concluded their regular season with a 2-1 victory over SVSU and will meet them again on November 6 at University Center for the quarterfinals.

Ferris State finished its regular season with an overall record of 6-8-4, including a GLIAC record of 4-7-3, securing the fifth seed in the tournament. SVSU holds the fourth seed, having finished just above Ferris State in the standings.

In other first-round matchups, Northern Michigan, the top seed, will play against Purdue Northwest. Grand Valley State will face Davenport as the second seed, and Michigan Tech, seeded third, will host Parkside.

The winners from these quarterfinal matches will advance to the semifinals scheduled for November 10 at the highest remaining seed's venue. The championship game is slated for November 12 at the same location.

Ferris State has made it to their 14th consecutive GLIAC Tournament appearance and their 16th overall in program history. Over the past eleven years, they have reached the conference semifinals eight times and won their first league tournament championship two years ago.
