Big Rapids, Mich. - The Ferris State University women's golf team commenced its fall campaign on Monday, September 9, at the Midwest Collegiate Championships. The team currently holds sixth place overall after the first two rounds.

FSU recorded a +25 in round one and a +23 in round two, resulting in a +48 total after 36 holes of the 54-hole event. The final round is scheduled for Tuesday, September 10, in Peru, Indiana.

The competition features 16 teams and over 90 golfers. Findlay leads with a +5 total, followed by Central Missouri (+24) and Missouri-St. Louis (+27).

Individually, Kamryn Shannon of Ferris State is ninth overall with a five-over-par total, having shot even par in round two. Lizzie Anderson stands at +9 and is 18th on the leaderboard. Newcomer Kylie Walker posted back-to-back +7 scores and is 35th.

Ashley Thomasma is currently 51st with a +20 total, while Hallie Crozier has a +21 figure and sits at 55th. Lauren Kempf competed as an individual and is positioned at 48th with a +19 total. Paige Anderson also competed individually and is tied for 55th at +21.

The final round begins on Tuesday at 9 a.m.
