City of Grand Rapids invites community to share feedback on services

Surveyaa

City of Grand Rapids issued the following announcement on Mar 18.

The City of Grand Rapids is inviting all residents to share feedback on City services, programs, events and facilities. The community survey is available in English and Spanish until April 1.

The City last month mailed 2,200 surveys to randomly selected households for a representative sample of the population and is now opening the survey to the rest of the community. Residents who received a survey in the mail should follow the instructions on the postcard or letter and do not need to answer a second time.

The survey includes questions about quality of life, quality of City services, characteristics and opportunities in the community and participation in City programs, among other topics. The survey takes about 15 minutes to complete.

“The community are our key customers, and their feedback is vital to measuring our progress,” said Doug Matthews, the City’s assistant city manager and chief administrative officer. “Every voice in our community matters and this is an opportunity for us to hear directly from those we serve.”

City staff will use survey responses to further develop and refine reliable, benchmarked metrics across all priorities in the City’s strategic plan. This iteration of the survey closely mirrors the one conducted in 2019 and this year’s results will allow City leaders to gauge the community’s perception of performance over time.

Survey responses are kept anonymous. For more information, call the City’s 311 Customer Service at 616.456.3000 or email info@grcity.us.
