Congresswoman Hillary Scholten, who represents Michigan’s 3rd district in the U.S. Congress, has recently highlighted key issues and events through a series of posts on her social media account.

On September 23, 2025, Scholten praised a local educational institution by posting, "At a time when aviation professionals are needed more than ever, the West Michigan Aviation Academy is a huge asset to our community and our nation. It’s a launching pad for high schoolers interested in the aviation field, allowing them to SOAR to new heights. Always great to https://t.co/ZVDgc9syBE".

The following day, September 24, 2025, she addressed concerns over potential government shutdowns and congressional responsibilities. In her post, Scholten stated, "Congress must get back to work to fund the government ahead of the looming shutdown deadline. @RepGabeVasquez and I are leading @HouseDemocrats who are ready to return to Washington for the American people. https://t.co/LC7SO35noC".

Later that evening on September 24, Scholten reminded constituents about an upcoming event: "REMINDER: Sec. Benson and I are having an in-person town hall this Friday in Muskegon Heights! You can RSVP at https://t.co/ZdyhMBwiBA. We hope to see you there! https://t.co/1cOupYj5a8".

Hillary Scholten has served as U.S. Representative for Michigan's 3rd District since replacing Peter Meijer in 2023. Born in Grand Rapids in 1982, she continues to reside there and holds degrees from Gordon College (BA) and the University of Maryland, Baltimore (JD).
