Ferris State University senior Kamryn Shannon has been named the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) Women's Golfer of the Week. Shannon, who is from Jackson, Michigan, helped lead the Ferris State Bulldogs to a third-place finish at the Warrior Invitational, which took place on September 22 and 23 in Washington, Michigan.
Shannon tied for first place overall in the tournament with a total score of 219 over 54 holes. Her individual round scores were 72, 73, and 74. She finished in a four-way tie at the top of the leaderboard.
This recognition marks Shannon's second top-five finish in as many fall competitions this season.
The Ferris State Bulldogs are scheduled to host their Bulldog Fall Classic on September 27 and 28 at Katke Golf Course.
