The Ferris State University women's golf team is in fourth place after the first day of competition at the Warrior Invitational, which began Monday at Orchards Golf Club in Washington, Michigan. The event is hosted by Wayne State University and features 13 teams.
Ferris State finished the opening two rounds with identical scores of 307, totaling 614 for the day. Grand Valley State leads after 36 holes with a score of 587, followed by Findlay at 593 and Davenport at 610.
Senior Kamryn Shannon led Ferris State's performance, ranking third overall individually with a one-over par total of 145. She shot an even-par 72 in the first round and a 73 in the second.
Lizzie Anderson is tied for 17th place after recording scores of 76 and 78 for a total of 154. Kylie Walker sits tied for 27th with a combined score of 158, shooting an 84 in her first round before improving to a 74 in the second.
Ashley Thomasma and Taylor Musselman are both tied for 38th individually. Thomasma posted rounds of 78 and then an 85, while Musselman recorded scores of 81 and then an 82.
Isabel Kelly competed as an individual participant for Ferris State and is tied for 55th with a two-round total of 172 (84-88).
