Ferris State University's men's golf team secured a fourth-place finish at the Pilgrim's Run Invite, which concluded on Tuesday in Pierson. The Bulldogs recorded a total score of 905 over 54 holes, with round scores of 302, 300, and 303.
The team finished behind Indian Hills Community College, West Texas A&M, and Davenport in a field of 13 schools. Indian Hills CC led the tournament with an overall score of 886.
Kole Putnam was Ferris State's top performer, shooting a total of 221 for the event. He posted rounds of 74, 75, and 72. Ben Miller placed tenth overall with a score of 223 after shooting a 77 in the first round and consecutive rounds of 73.
Ethan Frost tied for thirtieth place at 232 (77-79-76), while Peter Roehl finished thirty-fifth with a total score of 233 (75-75-83). Sam Havey ended tied for thirty-ninth at 235 (76-77-82).
Competing as individuals, Bryce Fleisher tied for forty-first with a score of 236 (76-82-78), Ray Dress tied for forty-eighth at 239 (80-83-76), and Zach Spencer tied for seventy-ninth at 251 (84-88-79).
Ferris State is scheduled to host the Midwest Regional Preview on September 15 and 16 at Katke Golf Course in Big Rapids.
