Ferris State University's men's golf team is tied for third place after the first day of competition at the Pilgrim's Run Invite in Pierson, Michigan. The event features 13 teams and is taking place at Pilgrim's Run in West Michigan.

After two rounds on Monday, Ferris State posted scores of 302 and 300 for a total of 602. West Texas A&M leads with a score of 582, while Indian Hills Community College is in second place with a score of 600.

Kole Putnam led Ferris State and is currently tied for 13th overall at three-over par, shooting rounds of 74 and 75. Peter Roehl and Ben Miller are both tied for 17th with totals of 150; Roehl shot consecutive rounds of 75, while Miller had a first-round score of 77 followed by a second-round score of 73.

Sam Havey finished the day tied for 27th after shooting scores of 76 and 77 for a total of 153. Ethan Frost is tied for 35th with rounds of 77 and 79, totaling a score of 156.

Bryce Fleisher competed as an unattached individual and is tied for 48th with scores of 76 and 82 (158 total). Ray Dress also played individually, tying for 66th with scores of 80 and 83 (163 total). Zach Spencer rounded out the field for Ferris State individuals, tying for 81st after posting rounds of 84 and 88 (172 total).

The final round will begin Tuesday at 8:30 a.m. Eastern Time.
