The Ferris State University women's golf team began its 2025-26 season at the University of Indianapolis Invitational on Monday, Sept. 8. After the first day of play, the Bulldogs are in third place overall heading into the final round.

Ferris State recorded a total score of 583 over two rounds. In the opening round, they posted a one-over-par 289, followed by a six-over-par 294 in the second round. The Bulldogs currently trail Missouri-St. Louis (574) and host school UIndy (581) among twelve teams competing in this regional tournament held at Champions Pointe in Henryville, Indiana.

Two Ferris State golfers share seventh place on the individual leaderboard. Kylie Walker shot a combined score of 145 with rounds of 71 and 74, while senior Kamryn Shannon matched that total after shooting a 78 in round one and an impressive 67 in round two.

Lizzie Anderson is tied for fourteenth with a score of 146 after carding rounds of 72 and 74. Ashley Thomasma sits tied for seventeenth at 148, having fired a first-round score of 69 before following up with a second-round score of 79.

Paige Anderson participated as well and is currently placed sixty-sixth after recording a single competitive round score of 77.

Competing individually for Ferris State, Taylor Musselman is tied for twenty-fifth at 152 with scores of 74 and 78 across two rounds. Isabel Kelly also played as an individual competitor and stands fifty-second overall after shooting an eighty-two and eighty-four.

The final round will be played Tuesday to conclude this season-opening event.
