Congresswoman Hillary Scholten, who represents Michigan’s 3rd district in the U.S. Congress, recently addressed a range of issues in a series of social media posts spanning September 5 to September 7, 2025.

On September 5, Scholten highlighted progress on a local infrastructure project: "This is an exciting time for Grand Haven. After months of delay, the Inner Harbor dredging project is finally moving forward! The following day, she commented on changes to federal travel regulations: "No matter who you are or where you come from, I think we can all agree on one thing: flight delays stink. Now, Trump is making them even worse.

His admin is scrapping a Biden-era rule to give travelers up to $200 for lengthy flight delays. Americans deserve a leader who fights https://t.co/eIX5UsEJ0u".

On September 7, Scholten advocated for expanded services for veterans: "Our veterans have sacrificed everything to serve our country. The least we can do is provide them with the services they need, including abortion care.

I’m proud to stand with @DemWomenCaucus, @ReproCaucus, @VetAffairsDems, and @SVACDems in urging the Trump administration to https://t.co/W7PalLuEkz".

Scholten has served as the congressional representative for Michigan's 3rd District since replacing Peter Meijer in 2023. She was born in Grand Rapids in 1982 and currently resides there.
