Big Rapids, Mich. - The Ferris State University men's golf team is set to compete in the 2025 Midwest/Central Super Regional, starting Thursday at the St. Joseph Country Club in St. Joseph, Mo. This marks their 20th NCAA Tournament appearance in the past 22 years.

The tournament begins with the first round on Thursday afternoon, followed by the second round on Friday and concluding with the final round on Saturday.

Hosted by the St. Joseph Sports Commission and Missouri Western University, the regional includes ten teams from both the Midwest and Central Regions. Additionally, four individual competitors from each region will participate in this 54-hole event.

"The top three teams and the top two student-athletes not with a team from each regional will advance to the finals," which are scheduled for May 19-23 at PGA National Resort in Palm Beach Gardens, Fla. The remaining eight team spots will be determined based on last year's head-to-head medal play results, with no more than seven teams allowed per region.

Ferris State joins other Midwest Region teams such as Missouri S&T, Grand Valley State, Wayne State, Missouri-St. Louis, Findlay, Ohio Dominican, Saginaw Valley State, Ashland and Hillsdale. They enter as the sixth seed from their region.

Central Oklahoma leads as the top seed for the Central Region alongside Henderson State, Harding, Washburn and others competing for a spot in Florida.

In previous years like 2017 and 2019, Ferris State has shown strong performances at these tournaments reaching national quarterfinals and earning high placements. Last year saw them finish fifth in their region before achieving ninth place nationally.

The Bulldogs' participation continues an impressive record of NCAA Championship representation over two decades within men's golf circles across America.

Ferris State also recently reached GLIAC Tournament Semifinals after winning stroke play portions during conference championships held last month in Augusta Michigan
