The Ferris State University women's golf team is set to commence its participation in the 2025 NCAA Division II East Regional Championships on Monday, May 5. The event will be held at The Meadows Golf Course in Allendale and hosted by Grand Valley State University.

Ferris State is among five teams from the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) that have secured a spot in the regional competition. The other GLIAC qualifiers include Grand Valley State, Wayne State, Davenport, and Saginaw Valley State.

This marks the fourth consecutive year that Ferris State has earned a berth in the regional championships. In their first team trip to the postseason since 2014, they finished 11th three years ago. Previously, from 2002 to 2014, Ferris State made 13 straight NCAA appearances. In recent years, they placed seventh overall at both the 2023 East Regional in Springfield, Illinois, and again last year in Carmel, Indiana.

A total of 18 teams were selected from six different conferences within the East Region for this year's competition. Additionally, six individual competitors from non-advancing schools will also participate.

All participants are slated to compete over three rounds of play across 54 holes. The top five teams from the East Region and the top two individuals not on an advancing team will progress to the national championships scheduled for May 13-17 at Boulder Creek Golf Club in Boulder City, Nevada.

Historically, Ferris State has twice won a regional championship during the seasons of 2003-04 and 2006-07 and has been runners-up four times between 2004-09.

Prior to receiving an at-large bid last year, Ferris State qualified for the NCAA Tournament two years ago as GLIAC's automatic qualifier after winning their league championship for the first time since 2007 during spring season play in Augusta, Michigan. This year saw them achieve runner-up status at GLIAC Championships held recently in Augusta.
