Ferris State teams ready for GLIAC Championships in Allendale

The Ferris State University men's and women's outdoor track and field teams are set to participate in the 2025 Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) Outdoor Track and Field Championships. The event will be held on Thursday and Friday, May 1-2, in Allendale, Michigan.

Grand Valley State University will host the annual league meet. Tickets for adults are priced at $10 per day, senior citizens at $7 per day, and youth ages 3-17 at $5. Children under age 3 can attend for free. Tickets can be purchased online at gvsutickets.com.

Events begin on Wednesday with the multi events. On Thursday, preliminary heats will start for both field and running events, with champions to be determined following final races on Friday.

"It is one of the most highly anticipated NCAA Division II meets throughout the country," said a spokesperson from the league. All member schools will participate.

The meet commences at 1:30 p.m. ET on Wednesday with the start of the men's 100 meters in the multi-events. The main competition starts on Thursday at 2:30 p.m. The final day, Friday, begins with field events at 10 a.m., followed by track events starting at 11:10 a.m.

Scoring will follow a 10-8-6-5-4-3-2-1 format for eight places in individual and relay events. More information and live results will be available on the league's official championship website.

Grand Valley State University will offer live updated results online and a video stream on FloSports throughout the event.
