The Ferris State University men's and women's tennis teams are set to compete in the 2025 Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) Championships this weekend in Midland, Michigan. Both teams enter the tournament as the number three seeds and will play at the Midland Tennis Center.

The GLIAC tournament will commence on Friday, April 25. The top two seeds in both the men's and women's categories have secured first-round byes. The men's team from Ferris State will face the sixth-seeded Lake Superior State at 11 a.m. Eastern Time. The women's team will compete against sixth-seeded Davenport starting at 4 p.m. Eastern Time.

In the men's draw, another match will take place between fourth-seeded Purdue Northwest and fifth-seeded Davenport. The semifinals are scheduled for Saturday, April 26, beginning at 10 a.m. Eastern Time, with the final match set for Sunday, April 27, at 10 a.m. Eastern Time.

The women's tournament features a first-round match between fourth-seeded Saginaw Valley State and fifth-seeded Lake Superior State. The semifinals will be conducted on Saturday at 3 p.m. Eastern Time, and the championship match will occur on Sunday at 3 p.m. Eastern Time.

The tournament operates as a single-elimination format, with winners from both the men's and women's events earning automatic bids to the NCAA Division II Tournament. Matches will use a "clinch-clinch" format, signifying that once the doubles point is conceded, any remaining doubles matches will be halted, and the match ends when a team gains four points.

Coverage details are available on the league's official tournament website. The Ferris State Bulldogs secured the GLIAC men's tournament title last year, accumulating six championship wins since 2012. The women's team reached the semifinals in the previous year and celebrated their first postseason championship since 2002 in 2021.
